Wild Yam Pottery
Friday, July 20th, 2007Wild Yam Pottery is a beautiful store/studio on The Avenue in Hampden. Four women potters: Nancy Brady, Kathy Schuetz, Cathy Trani, and Monica Greco, own and operate the store. You’ll find beautiful lamps, plant markers for your garden, everything kitchen and dining related, and many other innovative ceramic creations. As you walk into the store you’ll see these works of art and in the back of the store there is always a potter working on her next piece.
Wild Yam Pottery also offers a bridal registry. My fiance and I have registered for all of our plates, salad/pasta bowls, serving bowls, casserole dishes, tea cups and saucers, and our teapot, with Wild Yam. It was a wonderful experience visiting the store to pick out the shapes, sizes, and colors of the glazes for our set of dishes. Our guests can call the store or stop by to pick out their gifts, which are all one of a kind and made by hand at the shop. Whether its to register for you wedding, pick up a new piece of pottery, or just browse and catch a glimpse of the potters at work, you’ll enjoy your trip to Wild Yam Pottery.
